Angela Smylie
Having raised my children and welcomed grandchildren in this world, I am now embarking on a new and exciting chapter of my life. Living in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region of Ontario, Canada, I am surrounded by beauty. M environment is a constant source of joy and inspiration. I have always enjoyed creating. As a child, I loved to draw, but taking sewing classes in high school opened a whole new world of creativity. Sewing, knitting, crocheting, and later traditional rug-hooking became a part of my daily life. I have an insatiable need to create. The pandemic in 2020 afforded me the opportunity to take online paint classes, and, from the very first class, I knew I had found my niche. Acrylics is my medium of choice as I translate impressions of what I see onto the canvas. Creativity is an outlet for the lens through which I view the world. In all things, I see beauty. Gratitude for the life with which i view the world. As a result, I am drawn to paint the things around me. this deep appreciation of my surroundings, the beauty of nature, and the points where nature and human activity intersect are what I find particularly interesting. It is my hope that my paintings bring joy and peach to those who view them.

Ryan Carde
Ryan was a casual painter until the global pandemic. Mental struggles and diagnosis' of Generalized Anxiety Disorder and ADHD, caused Ryan to turn to art for therapy. Most of what he paints is what he is feeling, or emotions he's trying to express in the moment in true neo-expressionism styling. His paintings represent being "woke" or being "awake", and "not having the wool pulled over your eyes". Each Painting shows pure raw emotion, in some cases the battle between anxiety and ADHD. While in full pandemic swing Ryan discovered his father had been battling throat cancer, which resulted in his fathers loss of speech. You can see the symbolism of his father's loss of communication and illness in many of Ryan's works.
"Every Painting represents not believing in everything you hear or see in the media or internet. These paintings also represent a few conspiracies and a few truths, like the 'all seeing eye', or the illuminati.'
